Pickens County Sheriff's Office Press Release

 

 

Sheriff David Abston reports that the following individuals were arrested and booked into the Pickens County Jail for the week of November 2, 2014 through November 8, 2014.

 

 

Britney Fincher of Cleveland, Indiana was arrested by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office for Unlawful Possession of controlled Substance.

 

Bruce Hughes of Aliceville was arrested by the Carrollton Police Department for Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

Michael Matthews of Aliceville was arrested by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office for Non-Support.

 

Brian McCrary of Fayette was arrested by Criminal Investigations Division of the District Attorney’s Office and Reform Police Department for Possession of Forged Instruments.

 

Christopher McKinstry of Tuscaloosa was arrested by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office for unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Reckless Endangerment and Carrying a Pistol without Permit.

 

Annette Washington of Enterprise, Alabama was arrested by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office for Non-Support.

 

 

WANTED:  The following individuals are wanted by the Pickens County Sheriff's Office.  If you have any information concerning their whereabouts please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 205-367-2000.

 

 

Kenny Brown of Aliceville is wanted for Theft of Property 1st.

 

Jerome Hargrove of Tuscaloosa is wanted for multiple counts of Negotiating Worthless Instruments.

 

Travis Kendrell Hood of Aliceville is wanted for Failing to Appear on Charges of Burglary 3rd, Making Terrorist Threats and Criminal Mischief 3rd.

 

Timothy A Hollinger of Aliceville is wanted for two counts of Negotiating Worthless Instruments.

 

 

Pickens County Sheriff's Office and Jail has entered a new construction phase and parking around the Sheriff's Office will be limited.  Anyone coming for inmate visitation is asked to use the public parking lot behind the Pizza Doctor.  Designated "Handicap Parking" is available directly in front of the Sheriff's Office.

 

 

Pickens County Sheriff’s Office asks Pickens County residents to call 911 immediately whenever they see suspicious vehicles or people in your communities.

 

 

A scam sweeping Pickens County now is for unknown person(s) to call a residence, and identify themselves as working with the Internal Revenue Service and then demanding the resident purchase a green dot money card and give them the account number to pay an “outstanding” debt to the IRS.  These persons become belligerent and threaten to come to the home within minutes with local police to arrest them if they do not make the payment as demanded.  Please do NOT cooperate with these people.
